FragLab’s Shatterlineupcoming first-person shooter finally got a cinematic trailer today. It shows the main enemies and premise as well as some stunning art design. The game will be released on February 9, 2023.
The official YouTube channel has the complete trailer, including two minutes of footage.
Shatterlineappeared a while back on Steam, but the description focused more on the mechanics and features than the setting or premise.
Arena FPS will feature classic shooter modes such as Team Deathmatch, Plant-the-Bomb, and Escort. There are 8 operatives to choose from, as well as 25 weapons that can be modified with attachments. They are unique and offer a sense of personality that is always appreciated.
The new trailer shows that an evil enemy has infected the game’s world and made jagged rocks or crystals out of it. However, the main characters’ players have the option of choosing to be immune to this infection and can fight back.
The trailer features a lot of horror imagery and music. It ends with an unexpected finale that appears to be related to “Expedition”, a cooperative rogue-lite mode. Players will likely need to work together to defeat the Kaiju-sized monster that may be causing the infections.
Both the graphics and content are very pleasing. FragLab is a Ukrainian developer. Their website is dedicated to helping their army against the Russian invasion. This is done through the Help Lab International Charity Foundation.
Shatterlineis definitely one title worth keeping an eye on. Fans have been overwhelmingly positive about the trailer. Although some screenshots are already available on Steam, we’d love to see more gameplay.
