Gotham Knights reveal new villains trailer, and brings release date forward by four days

Gotham Knights made an appearance on Gamescom Opening Night Live and provided us with possibly some of the most bizarre news of the evening.

The game was originally scheduled to launch the game on October 25, Warner Bros Montreal has announced a slight alteration to the date for the game’s release. The game isn’t being delayed, in fact, its release has been moved forward for four more days. Gotham Knights will now launch on October 21st This is excellent news for those eager to play the multiplayer DC game. That was not all there was for Gotham Knights news, though. We also got to see an image of the villains that showed that characters such as Clayface as well as Harley Quinn will be joining the roster along with the previously revealed Court of Owls, Mr. Freeze, and many more.

Through Gotham Knights, you’ll have the chance to play Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, and Red Hood as you try to protect Gotham City safe from such famous villains following the demise of Bruce Wayne. The trailer for the villain will give us a hint of the characters we can expect to meet, there’ll surely be other familiar faces popping up.

Additionally, it seems it is possible that Renee Montoya will be helping Batman’s adversaries in fighting the villains. In the description of the trailer for the villains on YouTube, the description reads “There’s a storm coming and Renee Montoya knows she can’t trust the GCPD to fight it. She must ally herself with our Knights before it’s too late.” Renee Montoya – a GCPD officer and vigilante, also known by the name of The Question – was initially designed in the context of Batman: The Animated Series and has been featured in a variety of comics since.

There’s still not much information about the character of Renee Montoya as a character in Gotham Knights entails, but it’s likely to be interesting for anyone who is DC fan to find out how she’s integrated into the game.

Gotham Knights now launch on the 21st of October, 2022 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.That’s quite a distance from the fun Gamescom Opening Night Live had to provide. We were able to experience Goat Simulator 3 in the full splendor of chaos and more from the gory cosmic horror, The Callisto Protocol. In the end, too we were treated to the latest Sonic Frontiers gameplay!
