Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Steam Start is Looking All but Confirmed

Since the beginning of time, Call of DutysPC presence was limited to Blizzard Entertainments launcher Battle.net. This has meant that Steam, which is much more popular, has been neglected by the franchise for many years. It seems increasingly likely that the payload will change this.

Activision has just confirmed that Artivision Day 2 will take place on June 8. Interestingly, Activision’s official Twitter account changed theCall for Dutytweet tweet and retracted it with a good old googly eyes emoji. Although it isn’t officially confirmed, this is as close as we can get.

This isn’t the first sign that the shooter will be joining Steam. Steam recently viewed a number of artworks from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but they were quickly removed. I’ll be happy to talk with you.

It’s not because Activision Blizzards approaches the Microsoft acquisition. The deal is still in progress and won’t be completed before next year. Microsoft acquired Bethesda and began bringing all its games to Steam. The Bethesda launcher was also cloaked completely.

It’s unlikely that Battle.net will close down due to its widespread use, but it would be great to have Activision Blizzard.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is coming soon. Playing will take place at Summer Game Fest, June 9, so it won’t be long before the official announcement. The game was completed on October 28.
