The next Assassin’s Creed game is reportedly titled Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
According to information shared by YouTuber J0nathan, Some of which were confirmed by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, the game will bring the series “back to basics” when it comes out next year.
Bloomberg first announced on February 1st that Ubisoft was planning to make a smaller-scale, stealth-focused Assassin’s Creed game which is more akin to the earlier series entries rather than the more recent RPG-based versions.
The game is based on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla character Basim The game was initially intended as an expansion for the most recent entry in the series before it was spun off into a stand-alone game in the year 2000 as it was claimed.
Rift is said to be located to take place in the Middle East, including Baghdad, and is being developed by overseen by Ubisoft’s Bordeaux studio.
Recently, Bloomberg revealed the news that the game will be released in the spring of 2023..
The game is likely to be released prior to the official announcement of Assassin’s Creed Infinity, which is a partnership between Ubisoft Quebec (Odyssey) and Ubisoft Montreal ( Origins and Valhalla).
The previous entries in the series have been set in certain historical times, Infinity will reportedly be the basis for future Assassin’s creed games that will have different settings that could be expanded as time passes.
There was a recent report on the possibility that Assassin’s Creed Infinity will have an Asian setting, perhaps Japan.
Ubisoft has stated that it will “unveil the future of Assassin’s Creed” in September the month when it’s scheduled to host a multi-game showcase.
